Jean-Pierre Normand is a professional illustrator, specializing in science fiction and fantasy for the past 20 years. Over one hundred book and magazine covers featuring his work has been published in Canada and the United States. He generally work in ink and liquid acrylic, applied with brush and air-brush, the average size of originals are 9 x 16 inches. His work has been shown at various conventions and other exhibits, winning several awards, notably the Aurora for artistic achievement in Canada in 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2001. His work was published in « Spectrum, the best in contemporary fantasy art »,and appeared on the covers of "Asimov's Science Fiction", "Analog", "On Spec" and "Science fiction Chronicle". Jean-Pierre has work on conception of sets for the movie «Pluto Nash» and design machinery for the production «Oceania».

Jean-Pierre Normand se spécialise dans l'illustration de science-fiction et de fantastique depuis les vingt dernières années. Il a réalisé pres de deux cents couvertures de livres et de magazines au Canada et aux Etats-Unis. Il travaille avec des encres et des acryliques liquides appliquées aux pinceaux et à l'aérographe sur carton d'illustration ou toile. Son travail a été exposé lors de diverses conventions et expositions remportant plusieurs prix, notamment le Prix Aurora de l'accomplissement artistique qui fut attribué pour les années 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 et 2001. Il a été publié dans « Spectrum, the best in contemporary fantasy art » et sur les couvertures de «Asimov's Science Fiction», «Analog», «On Spec» et «Science fiction Chronicle». Jean-Pierre a travaillé sur la conception de décors pour le film «Pluto Nash» et crée des véhicules pour la production «Océania».
