Don't worry, I am still alive!
Thing is that I am soooo alive that I barely had time to update my
site for the past - almost - 12 months..... My filmmaking activities
kept me away from my website, I seriously should consider hiring
someone to take care of that for me. Anyone's up to it??
Crawler news!!
So lately we're moving forward with a new
production, entitled Crawler.
Visit the official page here! A nice little story about a group of
construction workers who are stalked by their 50 tons bulldozer who
appears to have a life of its own. Back in December we shot a short
teaser to promote the film. The production has been presented at the
European Film Market in February, and received an amazing
welcome from distribution houses, which helped us secure decent
financing for the film. We will be shooting for two weeks straight, in
June, and have the film ready for November 2008, right on time to be
introduced to the American Film Market in Los Angeles. Stay
tuned on the film's web site for more exciting news about Crawler!!
Rise of the Ghosts finds distribution!
Also of note, our latest film released, Rise of the Ghosts,
will hit the market in the next couple of months,
as we are finally starting to sign distribution deals. At this time,
the film has been sold in Czech republic (DVD and TV rights, dubbed in
Czech), and four other countries are currently in negociation with our
sales representative. Looking good, looking good!

Unbelievable!!
It's that time of the year again, the newspaper Montreal Mirror
has just made public the results of their annual poll about the Best
of Montreal. And this year again, I have been ranked by the papers'
readers in the top 10 filmmakers!! How's that,
folks?!
In 2006, I
was ranked 8th, and this year I saw my name jumped to the fourth
position, it certainly is an honor! But you know, making films is a
team work, and I am certainly not alone working on those memorable
movies, so I am sharing this
mention with all the amazing guys who work with me on the sets of my
films. Thank you so much guys, you ROCK!!!

Feb. 1st, 2007 | At last, an update!! |

I'm
alive!
Hey it's been a while I keep on telling myself I should update the
site... Things are just crazy here with the production of Rise of the
Ghosts... Speaking of which, we have now wrapped principal
photography, and this week-end we're also having the wrap party! All
cast and crew are meeting all together one last time (at least before
the premiere) to celebrate and drink and have fun... and drink again.
Haha!
Chiller Theatre April 2007
I will also be present in April for the Chiller Theatre, in New
Jersey. This time as a visitor only, not as a seller. So if you folks
would like to join for a few drinks at the Chiller party, hit me up!
She-Demons playing at Delray FIlm Festival
If some of you are planning to attend the
Delray Beach Film
Festival in March, make sure you go to the midnight show, since it
will feature our film She-Demons of the Black Sun! The
screening date is not yet made public, but soon as it is, I will post
a note about it!

Nov. 20th, 2006 | Rise of the Ghosts |
|
We're deep in it! Sorry folks it took a while before I managed
to update the site, things have been incredibly busy lately. Been in
the US for a few weeks, for the horror expo Chiller Theatre in
October, then in early November I've been showcasing my films at the
American Film Market, in Los Angeles, where my latest project, Rise of
the Ghosts, got an amazing response from various distributors
attending the AFM. And soon as I got back from LA, we entered
production for the film. We have an aggressive filming schedule, and
we should wrap photography by December 17th.
So far
everything works very well, the actors / actresses deliver an
unbelievable performance, the photography by Julien Fontaine is simply
phenomenal, Max and Mathieu' sound recordings are crystal clear, the
makeup effects by Claude Bussiere and Jihanne Mossalim are gruesome
and eerie, and all the shots get done within the precise timeframe
established by our producer Isabelle Jardin. So far everything works
extremely well for this production! Stay tuned on

Aug. 14th, 2006 | She-Demons Wins an award! |

On August
5th, 2006, She-Demons of the Black Sun was presented in
official competition at Wreck-Beach film festival, in Ontario,
and ended up getting this year's award for the best horror:
Wreck-Beach 2006 Best Cult/Horror!!!
 So
I'd like to thank everyone at Wreck-Beach who voted She-Demons as the
best horror, and a very special thanks to the festival's host
Captain, who drives this one-of-a-kind film fest. Let
the good time roll, Captain!
It was awesome spending time with the folks at Wreck-Beach, we had a
memorable time with Christian Viel, Ivan and Sharon Judd, Martine
Blue, Kirril, Dennis, Ronley, Christine, and all of you folks who make
this film fest a not-to-be-missed event. You guys rock!
See you all at Wreck-Beach next summer!
